#16 Seed: The 2002/03 Oklahoma Sooners returned several key players from the previous season's Final Four squad.  Coach Kelvin Sampson's Sooners were hardened by Big 12 opponents who had circled their OU games as soon as the 02/03 basketball schedule was released. With veterans Hollis Price and Ebi Ere providing the leadership, these Sooners fought and scrapped their way to a #1 seed.  They were bracketed-up against Syracuse and rookie sensation Carmelo Anthony in an Elite 8 match-up, and their season of high hopes became history.
