Round of 8
#4 Seed: The 2002/03 Kentucky Wildcats started out slow before kicking things into a very high gear (16-0 in the SEC).  Tubby Smith's Wildcats put together a 26 game winning streak behind the play of scorers Keith Bogans and Gerald Fitch. They had the grave misfortune of running into Tom Crean's Marquette Warriors in their Elite 8 match-up, and were promptly triple-doubled out of the gym and tournament by Warrior-leader Dwayne Wade.  Kentucky fans were completely incensed with the double digit tourney loss to a 3 seed, and calls for Tubby's head reverberated louder than ever throughout the Wildcat nation after their dance exit.
