#13 Seed: The 2004/05 Michigan State Spartans were a collection of highly touted recruits harvested from MSU's 2000 national championship season.  Tom Izzo molded this team into a resilient bunch that found a way to win close battles more often then not.  Their season highlights included a Sweet 16 dance revenge win over Duke, and an Elite 8 overtime victory of Kentucky that was a March classic.  The Spartans were shown the dance door by eventual National Champion UNC, who came roaring back after trailing MSU at the half of their semifinal match.
