#15 Seed: The 2010/11 Pittsburgh Panthers basketball team survived a rugged Big East schedule to earn a #1 dance seed.  Jaime Dixon's squad was led by sharpshooters Ashton Gibbs and Gilbert Brown, but struggled at the charity stripe, the downfall of many March dancers.  They were bracketed-up against a veteran-led Butler, runner-ups of the 09/10 tourney, in their 2nd battle.  A bizarre sequence of ill advised fouls in the last 3 seconds led Panther fans down a path of hope-to-despair in one of the cruelest dance exits CBB fans have observed.  Butler went on to make its second straight finals appearance, knocking off it's second number 1 seed over 2 consecutive tournaments.   A strong #8 seeded Butler's saw its run ended by falling to overall 2010/11 national champion Connecticut 16 days later.
