#17 Seed: The 08/09 Gonzaga team was intriquing to say the least.  They put up stats that were as impressive as any team over the 2002/11 decade, albeit against RPI-challenged opponents.  Some prognosticators saw them as a possible David to the mighty Goliath UNC Tarheels - largely due to Ty Lawsons then-gimpy toe injury.  Ultimate champion UNC and Lawson practically hit everything they put up in the first half, and by the time Zags guard Jeremy Pargo picked up his 4th foul, the Zags season was over.  These offensively powered 08/09 Zags were yet another example of a solid program designed and run under the exemplary leadership of coach Mark Few.
