Round of 8
#14 Seed: The 2006/07 Kansas Jayhawks were a strong team that played rugged defense, especially inside the paint.  Led by Julian Wright, Brandon Rush, and Mario Chalmers, these Jayhawks played tenacious Defense.  Inspite of their enormous talent, they were essentially un-poised, with bad habits such as turnovers and missed free throws undermining their stout defensive effort.  This KU team had the misfortune of running into a red-hot UCLA Bruin team in an Elite 8 matchup.  Bruin MVP Aaron Afflalo caught fire, neutralizing the Kansas defensive scheme in route to a Bruins' victory, and corresponding record 17th trip to the Final Four.
